You are what you eat. of course. What you put into your body is what you are made of. What you put into your eyes and ears and touch are the things that reside in your brain and make up your world view.
In the Macmillan Dictionary blog the word media is a plural form of the Latin word ‘medium‘ meaning ‘middle ground or intermediate. In fact, media today competes with our own sense of what is going on around us and to the degree we depend on media sources, can replace it.
Our mission at WRWK is to bring you the reality of the world in RVA by gathering the parts you can build on, not the broken bits. We have a bias here and it is toward Life. Death is a part of life but we don’t fixate on it or give a lot of time to violence, intimidation, or bullying, which all hint at death. As we all try to make sense of life, disagreement can occur. We believe that disagreement is healthy, a sign of an involved citizenry. Disagreement can take any form that seeks to clarify beliefs, shows respect for other views, and doesn’t attempt to stop the conversation itself.
Life is a process of negotiation between the known and the possible, and we want to air those possibilities which have a bias toward life.
