Finding Our Fit

Susanna Wu-Pong Calvert

ABOUT OUR SHOW:

No wonder we’re feeling overwhelmed and maybe even stressed and anxious.  Who can make any sense of it?  And even more importantly, what do we do about it?

Finding Our Fit is a program that helps us to make sense of this crazy, beautiful world.  We accept that we can’t know everything.  In fact, we embrace that fact!

We also embrace that we can focus on the process of understanding our world, and our relationship to it.  After all, how we connect to everyone and everything defines our world for us, and we can define our world to be a place full of hope, meaning, and purpose.

So join us while we take a step back away from what has become a nonsensical slew of data, and learn together how to create a healthier relationship with our world, each Thursday at 5 pm on WRWK 93.9 FM.

SHOW FORMAT:

Finding Our Fit is a mix of recurring guest host interviews and a discussion between host Dr. Susanna Calvert, Ph.D. and Dr. Jah Khyle Howard, Ph.D.

The What’s Missing series will feature a discussion on 2nd and 4th Thursdays by Susanna and Jah about what they sensed to be missing in their lives, and more importantly, how they filled the gaps they found.  This discussion is accompanied by Susanna’s Psychology Today blog post here.

Two recurring guest hosts John Weaver and Ally Fisher use the interview format on 1st and 3rd Thursdays, respectively to explore topics relevant to us finding our place in our modern world.

The growing and undeniable mental and emotional health crisis, in the midst of unprecedented wealth and “quality of life”, begs the question of What is missing?  In this show series, Jah Kyle Howard, PhD and Susanna Calvert, PhD explore this question of existential malaise and despair to help us rediscover our wholeness.

Dr. Howard joins Susanna twice monthly to discuss the overall topic of what’s missing, why it’s missing, and how to find, embrace, integrate, and heal it so that we may move forward with authenticity and a deep sense of purpose.

In this casual conversation, we will take a personal approach by sharing our own stories of path towards wholeness and suggestions for listeners to do the same.

Susanna’s blog series

Susanna’s blog series on Psychology Today explores the topic as an accompaniment to the radio show, where the show will allow a deeper exploration of what feels most needed in our hearts, minds, and souls.

Susanna Wu-Pong Calvert has a thirty-three page resume but her smile says it all. She has found a life and meaning in helping others find their fit with the world; the things they care about, themselves, the world and now her listeners. Tune in Thursdays at 5PM.

“If our world seems to make less and less sense to you lately, you’re not alone.  There are so many viewpoints on the constant stream of new stories, technologies, and ideas.   Even if we could understand everything about a certain point in time, everything is constantly changing and we’d have to start all over again.
