ALAN WATTS: Conquering Fear (00:14:32)
Conquering Fear by Alan Watts. Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) was a British writer and lecturer who interpreted and popularized Eastern philosophy and religion for a Western audience. Watts wrote more than 25 books and articles on subjects important to Eastern and Western religion, introducing the then-burgeoning youth culture to The Way of Zen (1957), one of the first bestselling books on Buddhism. In Psychotherapy East and West (1961), Watts proposed that Buddhism could be thought of as a form of psychotherapy and not a religion. He considered Nature, Man, and Woman (1958) to be, “from a literary point of view—the best book I have ever written.” He also explored human consciousness and psychedelics in the essay “The New Alchemy” (1958) and in the book The Joyous Cosmology (1962).

CHOOSE TO BE CURIOUS: Curiosity in Work, Life, Politics…& Sports, with Matt Rogers (00:28:00)
Matt Rogers is a political strategist by profession and nature. I wondered what insights he might have about how curiosity shows up in politics. More than anything else, this ended up being a conversation about the risks of incuriosity. Matt sees the dangers for his beloved Eagles, in his experience as a political candidate, and in personal relationships. “My success has been because I’m willing to say ‘I don’t know’. And then I surround myself with people who do know.” ~ Matt Rogers
DAVID PAKMAN SHOW 2/28/24 (00:54:50)
On the Show: President Joe Biden has had zero scandals so far in his administration, and it is making MAGA Trumpists desperate to concoct and fabricate pseudo-scandals. Failed former President Donald Trump crushes Nikki Haley in the Michigan Republican primary, as Joe Biden also wins the Democratic primary with more than 80% of the vote. 2024 Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley goes scorched earth on Donald Trump, saying his election would be “suicide for our country.” Terrence Bradley, a supposed blockbuster witness in the Trump team’s motion to disqualify Trump prosecutor Fani Willis in Georgia, completely collapses when Bradley admits he doesn’t really know anything. Republican Congressman James Comer, desperate as his case against Biden is crumbling, how claims that Biden’s goal of “curing cancer” was a sort of “get rich quick” scheme for Joe Biden during an appearance with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News. Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s son, Tyler Boebert, is arrested on 22 charges, including some felonies. 2024 independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr tells a crowd of black voters that racism will never end. Voicemail caller thought David went too easy on Dr. Phil.

ENCOURAGEMENTOLOGY: Mirror, Mirror: Nurturing Body Image to Build a Loving Partnership (00:30:00)
On this show we are truly looking into the mirror as we come face to face with a needed shift in perspective, nurturing our body to build a loving partnership. Do you treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding that you would a loved one? We can all shake our heads yes but let’s be honest, what you think about yourself in the privacy of your own mind you would never say out loud to a friend. We often compare ourselves to others, especially in the age of social media where idealized images are prevalent. This can lead to feelings of inadequacy and self-criticism. Negative experiences, such as bullying or criticism, can contribute to low self-esteem and a negative body image. These experiences can linger and influence how we see ourselves. Enough is enough. You were assigned this body for better or worse. Depending on your beliefs your soul may live forever but this body has an expiration date. Its time to appreciate your body for all it does for you. Focus on its strengths and abilities rather than perceived flaws to create a true partnership.
MAKING CONTACT: Jenny Odell on Saving Time (00:29:00)

Who’s hooting? This time on The Children’s Hour, we learn all about owls. Inspired by Mrs. Monica Charles’s second grade class from Coronado Elementary School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, we explore the lives of these mysterious night flyers. The 2nd graders share their owl research, discuss findings from dissecting owl pellets, and teach us why owls are so important, how to keep them protected, and much more! We also learn from our special guests at The Owl Research Institute in Charlo, Montana on the Flathead Indian Reservation. Denver Holt is the founder and president of ORI, and Beth Mendelsohn is a research biologist at the institute who focuses on North American owls. We hear about all of the incredible projects of the institute; including supporting year round field research of wild owls, organizing outreach and events to teach the public, and working towards conservation to help protect owls. With more than 200 species of owls around the world, maybe you have had the experience like some of our Kids Crew, of seeing owls in the wild? Stay tuned to learn all about owls with us, coming up on The Children’s Hour.

THE BRADCAST: 2/22/2024 U.S. has fallen prey to a decade-long Russian op (00:58:00)
On today’s ‘BradCast’: This week it became clearer than ever that the U.S., corporate media, the Republican Party, its front-runner for the 2024 Presidential nomination, and even some on the ‘left’ have all fallen prey – – knowingly or unknowingly – – to a wildly successful, decade-long Russian intel op. From the Hillary emails in 2015 all the way through to this week’s arrest of House Republicans’ linchpin witness for their fake corruption allegations against President Biden, who turned out to be a conduit for Russian disinformation. Russian intelligence has easily laundered phony narratives through Fox News, rightwing media, Republicans, and disgraced ex-President Donald Trump, and our corporate media continues to fall for it. Judge orders MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell to pay prize money to computer expert who proved his false 2020 election fraud allegations were nonsense. President Biden is beating Trump in new polls, but corporate media instead reports that Biden is old. Pundits calling for Biden to step aside are ignoring new polling data. Plus Desi Doyen has our latest ‘Green News Report.’
KEEPING DEMOCRACY ALIVE: Not Green, Nuclear Power is Not Acceptable for Many Reasons (00:59:35)
The comfort of colonial powers relied on them not seeing the damage to exploited nations. So it is with mining and milling the uranium for nuclear power. Victims then as now are people without power, indigenous populations which are health care deprived. As Beyond Nuclear’s Linda Pentz Gunter describes in this podcast, the politically powerful nuclear industry relied on a model called Reference Man “young and white” to argue nuclear was safe. Give a listen and see how the imagined solution of all of the above is wrong for a green future.
AGING MATTERS: Home Modifications and Repairs (00:56:00)

TUC RADIO: Matt Simon: Microplastics Everywhere – in Water, Land and Air (00:29:00)
Matt Simon is the author of the book: A Poison Like No Other, How Microplastics Corrupted Our Planet and Our Bodies. He traces how the plastic we are using and discarding breaks into ever smaller pieces that poison water, soil and the atmosphere. Scientists have found micro plastics in the deepest ocean trenches and in snow of the North and South Poles. They are in our food, and from there travel though our bodies. And most plastic is made from a mix of toxic petro-chemicals. Matt Simon has been a science journalist at Wired magazine for nine years. He covers a range of beats, including biology, robotics, climate change, and of course, microplastic pollution. The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots non-profit environmental organization that works to protect and preserve the world’s oceans, waves and beaches. They held the ZOOM with Matt Simon on Jan 23, 2024. This week on Sea Change Radio, we hear from John Stoehr, the Editor and Founder of The Editorial Board, to get his insights into the 2024 presidential election. We look at some of the calls from media members like Ezra Klein and Nate Silver for Biden to step aside, discuss how Republicans are taking a much bigger leap of faith by re-nominating Donald Trump, and counter some of the critics with practical arguments for why the Democrats might want to stick with Joe Biden as their nominee in August.

How was he radicalized, and how did he ultimately get out? In this courageous talk, Christian shares a surprising and counterintuitive solution to hate in all forms. His memoir, White American Youth: My Descent into America’s Most Violent Hate Movement—and How I Got Out (Hachette), which details his involvement, and eventual disengagement, from the early American white nationalist movement, will be published on December 26, 2017. ENCOURAGEMENTOLOGY: Radiant Resilience: Navigating Healing with a Positive Mindset (00:30:00)
On this show our goal is to dig deep and find the resilience within as we aim to navigate healing with a positive mindset. It is a fact of neurology that the brain cannot be in a state of appreciation and a state of fear at the same time. The two states may alternate but are mutually exclusive. But how can you find gratitude and positivity when facing the fear of the unknown? Whether you’ve been delivered an unwelcomed diagnosis, struggling to transition to a healthier lifestyle, or facing the inevitable aging process, research suggests that a positive mindset can have tangible effects on physical health and healing. But breaking down is hard and upsetting and why common sentiments for Get Well Soon cards include patience, looking at the brighter side, and a speedy recovery. With any process though, there are always ups and downs and an ample supply of setbacks which can certainly test your resolve. So hang in there! Our goal is to connect some of these thoughts to let you know, you aren’t alone and to give you some strategies that might illuminate the dark spots and give you motivation to move forward when you feel stuck.

RADIO ART HOUR Manuel Rocha Iturbide, Rachel Rosenthal (00:59:12)
Welcome to “The Radio Art Hour,” a show where art is not just on the radio, but is the radio. “The Radio Art Hour” draws from the Wave Farm Broadcast Radio Art Archive, an online resource that aims to identify, coalesce, and celebrate historical and contemporary international radio artworks made by artists around the world, created specifically for terrestrial AM/FM broadcast, whether it be via commercial, public, community, or independent transmission. Come on a journey with us as radio artists explore broadcast radio space through poetic resuscitations and playful celebrations/subversions of the complex relationship between senders and receivers in this hour of radio about radio as an art form. “The Radio Art Hour” features introductions from Philip Grant and Tom Roe, and from Wave Farm Radio Art Fellows Karen Werner, Jess Speer, and Andy Stuhl. The Conet Project’s recordings of numbers radio stations serve as interstitial sounds. Go to wavefarm.org for more information about “The Radio Art Hour” and Wave Farm’s Radio Art Archive.
“Hieros Logos” by Manuel Rocha Iturbide (2010), introduced by Jos Alejandro Rivera, and Rachel Rosenthal’s “Search for the New World Pataphysical Order”A Meditation in Time of War” are featured today. First, in 2010, Manuel Rocha Iturbide created “Hieros Logos,” a radiophonic sound work originally commissioned by Radio Clsica of Spain in collaboration with the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofa. The piece was presented at the Alicante Music Festival in 2010 and was also broadcast on Kuntstradio in 2011. At its core, the work sources the human voice as material for an abstract and imagined landscape, that begins with the sounds of a baby, an old man, and a woman. The piece then flows into field recordings and rhythmic bits, where isolated syllables contribute to what Rocha Iturbide calls, invented electroacoustic sound poetry. “Hieros Logos” displays Rocha Iturbide’s masterful treatment of granular synthesis, where snippets of vocals pan seamlessly from left to right, swarming around the listener. Clouds of phonetic elements and beds of time-stretched drones emerge, all of which transform any meaning of language into its musical, emotive, and intuitive elements. The arc of the piece moves from the individual voice to collective instances that include those of group prayer, labor songs, and poetry. Possible opportunities to decipher the content of these interactions are presented; however, any signification of meaning remains just out of reach. This is perhaps due to the large spaces that the voices were recorded in, the layering of multiple conversations, and the electronic processing with filters, delays, and reverbs. Alternatively, listeners are led down long corridors of melody and feeling, lined with shifting, sonic exchanges that fade delicately into a distant nothingness. In essence, Hieros Logos questions the sanctity of the word as the supreme container of knowledge, and instead, highlights the spiritual undertones of the voice that exist before the word is given meaning. – Introduced by Wave Farm Radio Art Fellow 2022, Jos Alejandro Rivera. Also featured is Rachel Rosenthal’s “Search for the New World Pataphysical Order”A Meditation in Time of War” from the New American Radio archive. What has happened to us? After the promise of 1990, we find ourselves catapulted back to the time when brute force solved all problems. 1991 is an historic blight. Rosenthal goes on a tour of her own mind in an attempt to discover the seeds of universal folly. The “New World Order” promises to fall in step with Pere Ubu, wading and waddling in his Pataphysics philosophy, shouting “merde!” at the scud fragments raining on the sands of Eden, as Mere Ubu knits little sweaters for crude coated cormorants. All voices and sounds by Rachel Rosenthal with sound design by Dain Olsen. Commissioned by New American Radio.

DAVID PAKMAN SHOW 2/19/24 (00:55:08)
On the Show: The competition to be more “left wing” among a faction of the left is self-defeating and counterproductive. Alexei Navalny, a foe of Vladimir Putin, is found dead at age 47 in a Russian prison under obviously suspicious circumstances. The Biden crimes fiasco falls apart as a supposed informant, Alexander Smirnov, has been himself charged with crimes. Republican Senator Ted Cruz says that Barack Obama is secretly the President right now, not Joe Biden. Failed former President Donald Trump is fined $364 million for fraud in New York, and is potentially on the brink of bankruptcy. Donald Trump is wildly triggered by the $364 million verdict against him in New York. Eric Trump, one of Donald Trump’s sons, explodes during post-verdict interviews after Trump is fined $364 million. A disoriented Donald Trump tells a crowd in Waterford Township, Michigan, the wrong election day, and insists he definitely does not have dementia. Donald Trump is brutally booed at Sneakercon in Philadelphia, almost having to end his speech early. A pathetic Nikki Haley admits that she would pardon Donald Trump if she were to be President and Trump were to be convicted of federal crime. Voicemail caller is furious that David didn’t come in to do extra shows on the weekend to cover news items that are on today’s show.

EARTH RIOT RADIO: 104. We Have Nothing To Fear But Trump Imitators (00:29:00)
The scripted fictions – little staged videos – depicting young migrants fighting police and shoplifting in Times Square, and then the spewing of hate from police/governor/mayor right on cue… All this drives us underground. We’ll be non-official radical volunteers as New York City forsakes Lady Liberty and does its best imitation of Alabama. We’ll find non-professional partners to ride the Earth Riot Wave as extinction and climate chaos accelerates, as civil wars and gang run amuck – and decent folks have to walk thousands of miles, float in leaky boats, confront gunmen at borders. The politicians and police are corrupted souls we won’t trust with the lives of our loved ones and neighbors, or the lives of our new neighbors, the gracious, bold, curious guests who are arriving in our town. They come with the gift of their lives. They remind us that love is the answer, not demonizing innocents.

TUC RADIO: A Poison Like No Other Matt Simon – TUC Archives (00:29:00)
Welcome to this program from TUC Radios Archives, first broadcasts on Jan. 3, 2023.
Almost all plastics in use today are so called petrochemicals, products made from fossil fuels like oil, coal, and gas. This industry is booming and plastics are showing up not just in manufacturing, construction and road building, but in our personal environment, our homes, households, clothes, furniture, and the food distribution systems we depend on. The very thing that makes plastic so useful ” its toughness ” means it never really goes away. It just gets smaller and smaller: eventually small enough to enter the atmosphere and be inhaled, or be absorbed by food crops that are watered with sewage sludge. We are already exploring the spread of microplastics in the oceans. Included in this program are excerpts from Plastic Talks ” hosted by Erica Cirino, the Communications Manager of the Plastic Pollution Coalition. She is speaking with Matt Simon, Science writer for Wired Magazine and author of A Poison Like No Other. How Microplastics Corrupted Our Planet and Our Bodies.

RADIO ART HOUR: Jasmina Al-Qaisi (00:58:00)
“Homoniememorimorph” by Jasmina Al-Qaisi, introduced by Jos Alejandro Rivera, is featured today. Originally performed in 2020 for Anybody out there?! (100 Days of Radio in Germany) at D21 Artspace in Leipzig, Germany, Homoniememorimorph was a live radio experiment using auto-archival methods crafted on the go. Jasmina Al-Qaisi describes the radio action, of which she has excerpted and edited, as an ongoing text writing method with, and for voice, where she re-writes her memory by crossing bridges between words. “Homonimemoriorph,” an invented word of a longer series of invented words by the artist, sonically and visually resembles other words. It is a manifestation of misspelled speaking, and a practice of Al-Qaisi as a poet, artist and radio maker. In the piece, she says the invented word is used to define the words that I feel fit together, and that stands for me, being here taking over talking over the radio; trying to re-order my memoriesto envision some sort of agency on what our memory is. “Homonimemoriorph” casts a wide net which allows Al-Qaisis words to create and pass through multiple forms and meanings depending on what associations the listener makes. The improvised nature of the piece often results in overtly confessional moments that transform ordinary approaches to what is considered useful or important information. The first public instance of this project was streamed over internet radio, and broadcast on Radio Corax 95.9 FM and UKW 87.5; the latter, covering the vicinity of D21 Artspace. Due to an un-planned delay in her headphones, Al-Qaisi’s voice, thinking, and as a result, the conversation with herself, was forced to slow down. Navigating this live radio time stretch, she spoke while sitting before a table of tiny, misplaced objects she gathered over the span of 15 years. They included scrap papers of invented words and poems, stones, shells, and pieces of metal items. As Al-Qaisi reflected on these objects, she re-wrote the importance they seemed to hold for her, and combined these new histories with samples of YouTube glitches that included insect, animal, and planet sounds, and samples of her friends attempting to pronounce homonimemorimorph.

Segment One
We begin with Mark Joseph Stern about the court rulings in Pennsylvania and Oregon. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that Pennsylvania’s Equal Rights Amendment was being violated by any attack on women’s rights, and they countered also that such attacks are misogynistic in their nature. Meanwhile Oregon’s Supreme court ruled that those Oregon state representatives who were absent during deliberations were not eligible to run for their offices for the next election cycle. The ruling stems from an attempt by Republican representatives to thwart the business of Oregon government by not showing up for their jobs in the hopes that legislation they opposed would not be passed.
Segment Two
We then catch up with freelance journalist, Helen Santoro who covers health, neuroscience, wildlife, climate change and LGBTQ+ communities. We discuss with the recent trend of ‘Shadow Landlords’ and the problem it has created for tenants for whom do not know the identities of the owners, and thus cannot call them to account for poor living conditions. Meanwhile these owners are buying up large swaths of New York real estate.

WINGS #43-23 Global Homelessness (00:28:52)
Human displacement and homelessness keep growing and growing. In a “parable” of uncertain attribution, there’s a community struggling to save babies who float down river in increasing numbers, and someone says “Let’s find out who’s putting them in there.” Brazilian environmentalist and organizer Magda Renner made it her duty to find out. Renner passed away in 2016, at nearly 90 years of age. This is her address to the World Women’s Congress for a Healthy Planet in 1991. On her list of causes are war, mining, land grabs, nuclear radiation, pesticides, masculine-style politics and development, and environmental destruction. She says women need to be in decision-making but not lose their humane values when they enter that realm.

Arkansas Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who says she is a “Christian” and “pro-family,” hires Jamol Jones, who had sex with a 17-year-old, to an important state job. ECONOMIC UPDATE: U.S. Capitalism At The Crossroads (00:29:00)
This week’s updates are divided into two parts. Part A: the special dimensions and qualities of the US labor movement’s current dynamism, Piketty shows capitalism generates widening wealth and income gaps leading to crashes or else simmering, divisive, domestic resentments. The system itself becomes destabilized. It can then lurch to the left as happened via The New Deal in the USA or right as in Nazi Germany, Italy and Spain (fascism). Both movements advocated gov ‘t intervention to stabilize capitalism: one left, one right. The left worked via massive supports to working people (minimum wages, gov’t jobs, social security, etc.). The right went to try forced labor, anti-immigrant efforts, demonizing immigrants to support employers. Turns right have their parallels now: Brexit, Trump, Milei (Argentina) and Miloni in Italy. The big question: since all the rightward moves failed and sent Germany, Italy and Spain over into social democracy, will their behavior be equalled again?”

RADIO ART HOUR: Lia Kohl, Negativland, Can (00:58:44)
This week we hear from Chicago-based radio artist Lia Kohl, from the Bay Area’s Negativland, and the krautrock band Can. Lia Kohl’s “Variations on a Topography” is constructed in stratified layers, each containing a recording of a full scan of the AM/FM spectrum from bottom to top and back down again. Tuning through the spectrum in the same place every time, Kohl charts a map of her specific signal, showcasing the geographic specificity of radio and drawing out its topography with additional musical sounds. Cello and synthesizer highlight moments of clarity and static, creating a counterpoint ruled by the dichotomy between them. These signal sweeps also offer a sedimentary view of time, capturing multiple 28 minute sections of what would otherwise be completely ephemeral sounds. The recordings, taken over the span of a few months, speak in various ways to the passage of time ” the weather gets colder, traffic patterns shift, wars break out. The signal, like a ghostly mountain range, hovers around us. Then tune in “Time Zones” by Negativland (1987), introduced by Jason Geistweidt. The experimental sound collective, Negativland, has been deconstructing media since its inception in the late 1970s. Originally comprised of members Mark Hosler, Richard Lyons, David Wills, Chris Grigg, and Don Joyce, Negativland makes an art of dissecting the sounds and images of mass media, reconstructing and recontextualizing these materials to reveal the hidden messages within. As Lyons notes in an interview with Rolling Stone, I spend more time in thrift stores than anyone. I like to collect a lot of old records, spoken word records, and we all collect tapes. Don spends more time recording stuff off TV and radio. Their breakthrough album, Escape from Noise, released in 1987 is both a commentary and a shout back at the sheer volume of media (radio, television, and print) that overwhelms our senses, a noise so pervasive that we passively accept its message. The media theorist Marshall McLuhan was fond of telling the story of two young fish swimming past an older fish. The older fish asks, Hows the water boys? and goes on his way. A few minutes later, perplexed, one fish looks at the other and asks, What the hell is water? Through the collection, manipulation, and juxtaposition of materials lifted from the media landscape, Negativland sheds a light on the deluge of media in which we find ourselves submerged. One cut in particular which provides a bit of clarity is Time Zones, a collage of diverse elements combining documentary voice overs, shortwave radio broadcasts, amateur radio conversations, automated time beacons, and talk radio call-in programming. From this mix arises the zeitgeist of the 1980s: fear of the Soviet Union, American exceptionalism, the militant standardization of time, the fetish of technology, and a somewhat Freudian preoccupation with size. – Introduced by Jason Geistweidt. The show ends with “Drink It Up” and “More Data” from Negativland, and then the song “Negativland” by the band Can.

TED-X: A Southern Historian’s Lost Cause – Roy Wisecarver (00:09:18)
Growing up in the Deep South, Roy “Trae” Wisecarver was taught a different story about the Civil War than he learned as a historian. Roy Wisecarver graduated from UAM with a BA in History in 2013. He subsequently earned an MA from the University of Mississippi and is currently a PhD student at Texas A&M University. His dissertation examines the relationships between the Confederate government, state government, and people of Arkansas during the Civil War. He will be talking about the dissonance between Civil War memory and history. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Best of ATTITUDE with ARNIE ARNESEN February 3, 2024 (00:00:00)
Segment One
We begin with Cheryl Clark, medical and science journalist. We discuss Medicare, and how Medicare participants are being steered to Medicare Advantage plans, even though these plans do not deliver what they promise. The plans deceive participants, and do not pay for procedures. In addition, they trap the participants. Currently 52% of Medicare participants are in such plans.
Segment Two
We then catch up with Bill Curry and Robert Hockett about the new bill passed which grants a child tax credit. This seems to be a ‘bribe’ to the rich, since it provides tax break for rich people, but does not include the poorest Americans. Over the last few years, the rich have become $2.2 T richer, while the minimum wage is still at 7.25/hr. $10 T has been added to the US debt since 2010, but the rich continue to prosper. The gap between the wealthy and poor continues to grow.

On today’s ‘BradCast’: All of Donald Trump’s failed lawsuits and legal defense bills are costing his supporters/gullible dupes a lot of money — according to new campaign filings, in 2023 alone, Trump spent $50 million in donor funds on legal bills for his four criminal felony indictments, multiple civil fraud cases and failed lawsuits. A London court tossed out Trump’s frivolous lawsuit against the author of the Steele Dossier. The Oregon Supreme Court ruled that 10 Republican state senators are ineligible to run for re-election in 2024 after they violated a law that punishes lawmakers for staging extended walkouts to extort legislative concessions. The U.S. House passed a bill! Republicans agreed to extend modest tax relief to low income families with children in exchange for huge tax corporate tax breaks. Are we looking for students to get good grades and make a lot of money, or become leaders in their communities and help spark thoughtful debate among their peers? We examine the shortcomings of standardized testing and grades, explore admissions systems at most elite” schools, and try to come up with some solutions to the problem.
LAURA FLANDERS SHOW: Not Wanted at Harvard? BIPOC Media on Claudine Gay, Anti-Zionism & Diversity in Education (00:28:00)
Dr. Claudine Gay, a widely esteemed scholar, made history as the first Black President of Harvard in the university’s 387 years. Many saw her tenure as a step forward for diversity in higher education, but today, her resignation speaks volumes about the challenges Black women face in academia. Gay faced fierce backlash this winter over the school’s statements on the Israel-Hamas War. A politically-motivated grilling in Congress followed by an organized campaign to attack Gays credibility and intellect, led to her resignation on January 2. What does this all mean for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in education? In this timely installment of Meet the BIPOC Press, our monthly collaboration with URL Media, a network of independent media owned and operated by people of color, Laura is joined by co-host Amir Khafagy, labor and immigration reporter for Documented, which is a member of the URL Media network. We unpack the crusade against Gay, DEI and the lack of support that students and faculty of color, and especially women of color, receive from their universities.
